LifeGuard wins excellence in Health & Safety
A SAFE WINNER – Innovative quad bike protective device wins top health and safety award.
Ag-Tech Industries won the top prize at New Zealand’s SAFEGUARD Workplace Health & Safety Awards in 2013. Ag-Tech first took out the design category – ‘Best Design Initiative’ sponsored by Sensor Intelligence, and then the ‘Supreme Award’ – sponsored by MBIE/ACC for the best overall contribution to improving workplace health and safety in New Zealand.
By seeing fixed rollover bars on quad bikes as too dangerous because the rider can be crushed by them, Ag-Tech Industries developed an innovative, flexible, crush protection device for quad bikes to protect the rider in the event of a rollover.
